fantastic little vintage Japanese robot, a Nomura Mechanized Robot  made in about 1957.  It is the very first and arguably the most accurate rendition of Robby the Robot from the 1956 Forbidden Planet movie.  Talk about substantial and complex.  Comes with the original box.  Battery-operated with clean compartments.   This toy is extremely scarce particularly with the original box.
